Should I buy a 2003 Chevy S10?

-I'm looking to buy a truck, nothing too big, and I really want a chevy s10. Is an eight year old car too old to be driving? How many miles on the truck is too many? What's the most I should pay?An eight year old car is a little old, but not if its in good shape and have under a 100,000 miles on it.
