I have some questions about certain cars?

-Well, I'm going to be 16 in about 3 months, and will be able to drive in 9 months. As a 16th birthday gift, I know my parents (my mom and stepdad) are going to get me a car, but they need to know what I want. I have a 5 month older stepbrother who just got a Jeep Wrangler, and the dealer they got it off has I believe one or two more and he finds them all the time. I like Jeep Wranglers, but I also have been looking into a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Pontiac Sunfire, or a Mazda Miat MX5. I know theres a lot of difference in those choices, but I'm asking if anyone knows any information on any of these four vehicles? I just don't really know what type of car I want. But some of what I want is-

1) good gas mpg

2) decent looking

3) under 7000

4) will last a long time (hopefully into college)

Thank you so much for your input!! :)I would go with the wrangler, they hold their value pretty well. The Grand Cherokee should be avoided. There are lots of issues with those older ones. The mazda will be a good looking fun car, and better on gas. But there is the whole gay sterotype factor to combat. No to the mx-5 for sure... If you want a roadster go with an Honda S2K although you insurance will be high(not first car material)...



Wrangler- depending on year and mileage you could have some issues...



No to the Grand Cherokee - more issues than you need to deal with at your age...
Insurance is going to be terrible on a Wrangler, and like the other guy said, the Miata is associated with gay guys. You should see if you can get a 4.0 liter Cherokee (not a Grand Cherokee, a regular Cherokee). The older Cherokees are great SUV's, and those 4.0 liter engines are very reliable.
if you're a girl the Miata would be cool. None of those are guy cars.
