How to convince my dad to cosign on a car?

-my family is in a huge financial crisis, and we barely have enough money to pay the bills. i just got a job as a car salesman. i just got my first check, and i can see it going somewhere, but my parents have to take me to work every day and its embarrasing. i have no car. i want to finance a car i think im capable, but i cant get financed since ive only been at my job for like a month. He yells at me and tells me he wont do it till i get a couple of paychecks to see where its going to go... but i cant wait any longer... i havent had my own vehicle in three years. im 21. what should i do?You should tough it out a little longer. Instead of writing a check to the bank for the loan, write a check every month to your family. Add in the amount you would spend on gas and insurance. In a few months,l they'll be in less of a crisis, and you'll be able to get your loan.

A high debt to income ratio doesn't get a loan.



You may as well relax, since nobody is cosigning here.
You can still get a car, but you might have to go to a "Honest AL's" sorta car dealer. Not all of them are shady but they all want to sell their cars.



You sell cars can you talk with your sales manger to work you out a deal?
You best listen to Dad. I was in the Auto business for many,many years and only a few that tried sales made it. Why be embarrased, sure beats walking.
